Faktor Sosial Ekonomi Dalam Perkawinan Anak di Sulawesi Selatan

Abstract

Indonesia menempati peringkat kedua tertinggi di ASEAN dalam hal prevalensi perkawinan anak. Sulawesi Selatan merupakan salah satu provinsi dengan persentase perkawinan anak di atas rata-rata nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun peta tematik, memberikan gambaran karakteristik sosial ekonomi, dan mengukur pengaruh indeks pemberdayaan gender, kemiskinan, rata-rata lama sekolah perempuan, dan pendapatan per kapita terhadap perkawinan anak di Sulawesi Selatan. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif, inferensial, dan kuadran. Pada analisis deskriptif, unit penelitiannya adalah 2.044 perempuan berusia 20-24 tahun merupakan raw data dari Survei Sosial Ekonomi Nasional pada bulan Maret 2020 di Sulawesi Selatan. Pada analisis inferensial menggunakan teknik regresi data panel terhadap variabel makro pada 24 kabupaten/kota di Sulawesi Selatan selama tahun 2017-2020. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kota Makassar memiliki persentase perkawinan anak terendah (4,7 persen) dan kabupaten Soppeng merupakan kabupaten dengan persentase perkawinan anak tertinggi (27,9 persen). Perempuan berusia 17 tahun, tinggal di pedesaan, dan berasal dari rumah tangga miskin merupakan kelompok yang paling rentan terhadap praktik perkawinan anak. Menurunkan prevalensi perkawinan anak melalui upaya peningkatan indeks pemberdayaan gender, pengentasan kemiskinan, dan peningkatan lama sekolah perempuan. Rekomendasi kebijakan melalui peningkatan pendidikan untuk perempuan di kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar, Bulukumba, Bantaeng, Jeneponto, Pangkep, Soppeng, Sidrap, Pinrang, Luwu Utara, dan Toraja Utara.
