PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI TERBIMBING DAN KOOPERATIF STAD DALAM PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS SISWA SMP NEGERI 2 SINGARAJA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan keterampilan proses sains dalam pembelajaran pendekatan saintifik antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif STAD. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Non-equivalen Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja yang terdiri dari 15 kelas dengan jumlah siswa 561 orang. Sampel diambil dengan teknik undian sebanyak dua kelompok dari lima belas kelas yang ada. Keterampilan proses sains siswa diukur dengan menggunakan tes essay. Data dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan keterampilan proses sains antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pendekatan saintifik dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif STAD (t = 3,830,p = 0,00). Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan saintifik dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing lebih efektif dalam meningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa dibandingkan pendekatan saintifik dengan kooperatif STAD.

This research aimed to analyze the differences in learning science process skills in scientific approach between the groups of students that learned using guided inquiry learning model and student groups that learned using cooperative learning model STAD. This type of this research is a quasi-experimental. The research use a Non-equivalent pre-test post-test Control Group Design. The population was all of students in class VII SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja which consists of 15 classes with 561 students. Samples were taken using a lottery as many as two groups of fifteen classes there. Science process skills were measured using essay test. Data were analyzed by using descriptive and t-test. The results showed that there were differences between the science process skills of students that learned to use a scientific approach to guided inquiry learning model and student groups that learned with the scientific approach to cooperative learning model STAD (t = 3.830, p = 0.00). This shows that the scientific approach with guided inquiry learning model more effectively to improve students' science process skills compared with STAD cooperative scientific approach.
