IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF DENGAN STRATEGI THINK-TALK-WRITE (TTW) SEBAGAI UPAYA MENINGKATKAN INTERAKSI SOSIAL DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA SISWA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan interaksi sosial siswa dan hasil belajar IPA siswa, serta mendeskripsikan tanggapan siswa terhadap implementasi model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan strategi Think-Talk-Write (TTW). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dengan dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIB SMP Negeri 3 Mengwi yang berjumlah 32 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui nilai LKS pada setiap pertemuan, tes hasil belajar berupa tes pilihan ganda, lembar oservasi kinerja ilmiah, angket interaksi sosial, dan angket tanggapan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Ketuntasan klasikal yang ditentukan di SMP Negeri 3 Mengwi adalah 76% untuk penguasaan konsep, 75% untuk kinerja ilmiah serta kriteria keberhasilan interaksi sosial siswa yang telah ditentukan adalah ≥ 68 atau dengan kriteria minimal tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) terjadi peningkatan nilai rata-rata interaksi sosial siswa kelas VIIB yaitu 76,44 pada siklus I dan 82,73 pada siklus II, 2) terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VIIB dengan ketuntasan klasikal penguasaan konsep siswa yang dicapai adalah 78,13% pada siklus I dan 100% pada siklus II, sementara ketuntasan klasikal kinerja ilmiah siswa pada siklus I adalah 75% dan pada siklus II adalah 100%, 3) siswa kelas VIIB memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan strategi TTW dalam pembelajaran IPA.

This research aimed at improving the students’ social interaction, students’ science learning outcome, and describing the students’ responses towards the implementation of cooperative learning model with TTW strategy. This research was classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this research were 32 grade VIIB students of SMP Negeri 3 Mengwi in academic year 2014/2015. Data were collected through LKS score at each meeting in class, the learning result test in form of multiple choice, observation sheet of scientific performance, questionnaire test of social interaction, and questionnaire test of students responses. Data were analyzed descriptively. Classical completeness in SMP Negeri 3 Mengwi is 76% for mastery of concepts, 75% for scientific performance, and also for completeness criterium of social interaction is ≥ 68 or in minimal criterium is high. The result shows that: 1) there is an increase in students’ social interaction at grade VIIB students with the average score is 76,44 in first cycle and 82,73 in second cycle. 2) There is an increase in students’ science learning outcomes at grade VIIB students with the classical completeness mastery of students concepts is 78,13% in first cycle and 100% in second cycle, while the classical completeness of students’ scientific performance is 75% in first cycle and 100% in second cycle. 3) The students’ respons towards the implementation of cooperative learning model with TTW strategy is positive.
