MISKONSEPSI SISWA DAN CARA PENANGGULANGANNYA DI XI MIA 3 SMA NEGERI 1 BANGLI

Tujuan penelitian adalah (1) mendeskripsikan miskonsepsi siswa, (2) mendeskripsikan penyebab miskonsepsi, (3) mendeskripsikan penanggulangan miskonsepsi, dan (4) menganalisis retensi siswa. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah pra-ekspermin. Jumlah sampel penelitian adalah 35 orang siswa. Miskonsepsi siswa dikumpulkan menggunakan tes miskonsepsi pada materi fluida dinamis. Pre-test dan post-test digunakan untuk melihat keefektifan penanggulangan miskonsepsi. Retensi siswa diperoleh dengan membandingkan skor post-test dan tes retensi. Pre-test, post-test dan tes retensi menggunakan tes yang sama pada materi teori kinetik gas. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa variasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi fluida dinamis sebanyak 58 miskonsepsi. Penyebab miskonsepsi adalah diri siswa, buku dan pengalaman. Penanggulangan miskonsepsi dilaksanakan dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran perubahan konseptual. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji-t didapatkan signifikasi (0,000) < taraf (0,05). Hal tersebut menunjukkan penanggulangan miskonsepsi menggunakan model pembelajaran perubahan konseptual berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa. Penurunan persentase siswa yang miskonsepsi dari 55% menjadi 10%. Hal tersebut menunjukkan penanggulan miskonsepsi berhasil menurunkan miskonsepsi siswa. Hasil analisis tes retensi didapatkan persentase retensi (R) = 85,06%. Hal tersebut menunjukkan retensi siswa terhadap konsep fisika tergolong tinggi.Kata Kunci : miskonsepsi, fluida dinamis, retensi, teori kinetik gas
This research aimed at: (1) describing the students’ misconceptions, (2) describing the causes of misconceptions, (3) describing the misconceptions overcome, and (4) analyzing the student’ retentions. The design of this research was pre-experiment. The samples of this research were 35 students. The students’ misconceptions were collected by misconception test on dynamic fluid mater. The pre-test and post-test were used to determine the effectiveness of misconceptions overcome. The students’ retention was obtained by comparing the score of post-test and score of test retention. The pre-test, post-test and retention test used the same test on the mater of kinetic theory of gases. The results show that the variation of misconceptions on dynamic fluid are 58 misconceptions. The causes of misconceptions are from their self, the books and their experiences. Misconceptions overcome is held by applying conceptual change learning model. From the t-test analysis, it is obtained that the value of significance (0.000) < level (0.05). It shows that the misconceptions overcome by conceptual change teaching model has a significant effect on students' concepts understanding. The decreasement on the percentage of misconception students is from 55% to 10%. It shows that the misconception overcome is successful in reducing students’ misconceptions. The retention test analysis results reveals that the retention percentage (R) is 85.06%. It shows that the retention of students towards the physics concepts is high.
