PENENTUAN KADAR TOTAL FENOL, KADAR TOTAL FLAVONOID DAN SKRINING FITOKIMIA EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN GAHARU (Gyrinops versteegii)

Daun gaharu (Gyrinops versteegii) memiliki beberapa aktivitas farmakologi karena kandungan metabolit sekunder. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar total fenol dan flavonoid dalam ekstrak etanol daun gaharu (Gyrinops versteegii). Serbuk daun gaharu diekstraksi dengan etanol lalu dipekatkan menggunakan rotary evaporator. Ekstraksi 1000 gram serbuk daun gaharu menghasilkan ekstrak kental etanol yang berwarna coklat sebanyak 95,90 gram. Uji fitokimia menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol  daun gaharu positif mengandung senyawa fenol dan flavonoid. Kadar total fenol ekstrak etanol daun gaharu sebesar 14,81% GAE sedangkan kadar total flavonoid sebesar 8,34% QE.

ABSTRACT

Gaharu leaves (Gyrinops versteegii) have several pharmacological activities because of secondary metabolite content. This study aimed to determine the total content of phenol and flavonoids in ethanol extract of gaharu leaf (Gyrinops versteegii). Gaharu leaf powder was extracted with ethanol and concentrated by rotary evaporator. The extraction of 1000 gram of gaharu leaf powder produced 95,90 grams concentrate brown ethanol extract. Phytochemical test indicated that ethanol extract contained phenol dan flavonoids compounds. Total phenol content of ethanol extract of gaharu leaf was 14.81% GAE while the total flavonoid content was 8.34% QE.
