Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami status Mandatory Consular Notification antara Indonesia dengan Arab Saudi dalam hubungan diplomatik antar negara dan upaya perlindungan Pemerintah Republik Indonesia dalam melindungi Warga Negara Indonesia yang dihukum mati di Arab Saudi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang menggunakan metode penelitian hukum normatif dengan menggunakan jenis pendekatan perundang-undangan dan pendekatan kasus. Adapun bahan hukum yang digunakan adalah bahan hukum primer, sekunder, dan tersier yang berguna untuk mendapatkan konklusi yang relevan dengan permasalah pada penelitian ini. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Status Mandatory Consular Notification antara Indonesia dengan Arab saudi memang belum ada perjanjian antar kedua negara yang secara khusus mengatur tentang pemberitahuan pidana mati terhadap TKI, dan 2) upaya perlindungan yang diberikan oleh Pemerintah Indonesia terhadap TKI yang terancam hukuman mati di Arab Saudi melalui dua bentuk perlindungan secara Kekonsuleran dan Secara Diplomatik.
