Abstract

Penulisan artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan mendeskripsikan penyebab terjadinya kebakaran di Lapas Kelas 1 Tangerang. Berbagai permasalahan yang tidak terduga-duga seringkali terjadi di unit pelaksana teknis di Indonesia. Berita di awal september tahun 2021 ini, Lapas Kelas 1 Tangerang terbakar, dengan menewaskan sejumlah 44 warga binaan dan yang lainnya mengalami luka-luka. Dugaan yang dilayangkan sementara adalah karena adanya hubungan arus pendek pada listrik. Dengan kebakaran yang melalap salah satu blok hunian, kerugian ditaksir mencapai 1,5 miliar. Tidak hanya karena konsleting listrik, namun overcrowded dan kelalaian petugas diduga menjadi beberapa penyebab terjadinya kebakaran.
