Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The article has never been submitted and published to another publisher in any form of media (print/electronic). If there is duplication of publication, the author agrees to have the article removed from this journal.
  • Articles are written and arranged based on Template and Author Guidelines. Text is written Times News Roman letters, size 10, space 1 and line spacing 1 cm. Text is typed in a print area with margins from top, bottom, left, right made 2.5cm. A4 paper size, 8.27-inch-wide, 11.69 inch high. Layout: 0.5-inch header, 0.5-inch footer, with a minimum number of 10 pages. The submitted article files are in Microsoft Word format (doc/docx).
  • The number of scientific readings used in the bibliography is at least 15 titles (80% primary references and 20% secondary references). Primary references consist of journals, proceedings/papers, research reports, theses, theses, dissertations, while secondary references include general books and online sources of scientific information.
  • The author has agreed to pay the publication fee if the article has been declared accepted and worthy of publication in Jurnal Edutech Undiksha.

Author Guidelines

Jurnal Edutech Undiksha (JEU) welcomes submissions that align with its focus on Educational Technology. The following guidelines are provided to ensure a smooth submission process and to maintain high academic standards.

MANUSCRIPT CATEGORIZATION

Authors are required to categorize their manuscript during the submission process. The selected category should accurately reflect the manuscript's focus. The available categories are:

  • Research Article
    This category includes original investigations and experiments that contribute new knowledge to the field. Research articles may involve: Model/framework construction or testing; Action research; Empirical studies; Market research; Data analysis; Scientific experiments; Laboratory research.

  • Literature Review:
    Literature reviews provide a comprehensive summary of existing research on a topic. They offer: An overview of the current state of the field and future directions; A detailed analysis and synthesis of primary sources; Extensive references (typically around 100 citations), offering valuable insights to researchers seeking a deep understanding of the topic.

  • Technical Paper:
    Technical papers describe and evaluate technical products, processes, or services. They may cover: New technological developments; Improvements in technology; Technical applications in various fields; Insights for professionals in technical domains.

  • Conceptual Paper:
    Conceptual papers do not include empirical research but focus on: Developing hypotheses or theoretical frameworks; Philosophical discussions; Comparative studies; Theoretical explorations of existing work or ideas in the field.

  • Case Study:
    Case studies document real-world interventions or experiences in organizations or specific settings. These may involve: Practical examples of implementation; Legal cases or policy discussions; Hypothetical scenarios used as teaching tools; Subjective observations (case studies do not generally follow formal research structures)

MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION

Language:
Manuscripts must be written in English. However, submissions in Indonesian are also accepted, provided that they will be translated into English upon acceptance for publication.

Originality:
Submitted manuscripts must be original works that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors must ensure their manuscript is free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and improper data manipulation.

Formatting:

  • Manuscripts must be typed in Times New Roman, size 10 pt, with 1.0 line spacing and 1 cm paragraph spacing.
  • Maintain 2.5 cm margins on all sides (top, bottom, left, right).
  • Use A4 paper size (8.27 inches wide by 11.69 inches high).
  • The layout must include a 0.5-inch header and footer.
  • Authors are strongly encouraged to use the provided manuscript template for proper formatting manuscript template.

MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE

1. Title Page:
The title page should include:

  • Manuscript title (maximum 20 words)
  • Full names of all authors, including their affiliations (format: Department/Program, University, City, Country)
  • Corresponding author's name and email address.
  • Abstract (200-250 words).
  • 3-5 keywords, listed in alphabetical order.

2. Main Text:

  • Introduction: Present the research problem, identify the gap in the current literature, explain the study's novelty, state the objectives, and justify the significance of the research.
  • Methodology: Provide a detailed description of the research design, participants, data collection methods, and data analysis procedures.
  • Results: Present the research findings clearly and concisely. Use tables and figures where necessary to support data presentation.
  • Discussion: Interpret the results and discuss their implications. Compare the findings with previous research. Highlight the relevance of the results to the field of study.
  • Conclusion: Summarize the key findings, discuss implications of the study, and suggest directions for future research.

References

  • Authors must follow the 7th Edition of APA (American Psychological Association) style for citations and references.
  • All references cited in the text must be included in the reference section and vice versa.
  • Ensure that references are accurate, complete, and formatted correctly according to APA style.

Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and include a descriptive title.
  • Each table and figure must be referred to within the text of the manuscript.
  • Tables and figures can be placed within the manuscript or at the end, ensuring clarity and readability.
