PENGARUH METODE PEMBELAJARAN MIND MAPPING DAN EKSPOSITORI TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA DI SD GUGUS IX KECAMATAN BULELENG

Permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa yang belajar dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional sehingga untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam penelitian ini menerapkan metode pembelajaran mind mapping. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mendeskripsikan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan metode pembelajaran mind mapping, (2) mendeskripsikan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan metode pembelajaran ekspositori, (3) mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar matematika yang signifikan antar kelompok siswa menggunkan metode pembelajaran mind mapping dengan metode ekspositori pada siswa kelas III semester genap tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 di SD Gugus IX kecamatan Buleleng. Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan post test only control group design. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari empat sekolah yaitu SDN 1 Banjar Jawa 25 siswa, SDN 3 Banjar Jawa 24 siswa, SDN 5 Banjar Jawa 29 siswa dan SDN 1 Astina 29 siswa, sehingga jumlah populasi adalah 107 siswa. Sedangkan sampel penelitian yang digunakan adalah SDN 1 Banjar Jawa dan SDN 3 Banjar Jawa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) deskripsi hasil belajar matematika siswa kelompok eksperimen dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran mind mapping menunjukkan skor rata-rata 42,10 berada pada kategori sangat tinggi (2) deskripsi hasil belajar matematika siswa kelompok kontrol dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran ekspositori rata-rata skor siswa adalah 32,64 berada pada kategori sedang, (3) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar matematika yang signifikan antar kelompok siswa yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran mind mapping dan yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran ekspositori. Perbedaan tersebut dilihat dari thitung > ttabel (3,89 > 1,68). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode pembelajaran mind mapping berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran ekspositori.Kata Kunci : mind mapping, ekspositori, hasil belajar.
The problem underlying this study is the low learning outcomes of students who are taught using conventional teaching methods so as to improve student learning outcomes in this study apply mind mapping (map think learning methods. The purpose of this study was (1) to describe the mathematics learning outcomes of students who learned with the learning method of mind mapping (map think), (2) describe the mathematics learning outcomes of students who learned with expository teaching methods, (3) determine differences in mathematics learning outcomes significantly between group of students who learned with the learning method with learning methods mind mapping (map think) with expository method in class III semester of academic year 2013/2014 in the SD cluster IX Buleleng districts. This study was a quasi-experimental design with a post-test only control group design. The study population consisted of four schools namely SDN 1 Banjar Jawa 25 students, 3 Banjar Jawa SDN 24 students, 5 Banjar Jawa SDN 29 and SDN 1 Astina students 29 students, so the total population is 107 students. While the sample study is a SDN 1 Banjar Java and SDN 3 Banjar Java. The results of this study indicate that: (1) a description of the results of the experimental group students mathematics learning using learning methods mind mapping showed an average score of 42.10 was the very high category (2) a description of the results of the control group students learn mathematics with expository teaching methods the average score was 32.64 students in middle category, (3) there are differences in mathematics learning outcomes significantly between groups of students who use the learning method that uses mind mapping and expository teaching methods. The differences are seen from tcount> ttable (3.89> 1.68). Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the methods of learning mind mapping positive effect on mathematics learning outcomes compared with expository teaching methods.
