Hubungan antara Kecerdasan Emosional dengan Perilaku Cybersex pada Mahasiswa yang Bermain Peran (Role Player) di Platform Sosial Media Twitter

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan perilaku cybersex pada mahasiswa yang bermain peran (role player) di platform sosial media Twitter. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah terdapat hubungan negatif antara kecerdasan emosional dengan perilaku cybersex pada mahasiswa. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 216 mahasiswa berusia 18-24 tahun yang bermain peran (role player) yang dikumpulkan melalui teknik insidental sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner online melalui Google Form. Variabel kecerdasan emosional diukur dengan Assessing Emotional Scale (AES) dari Schutte, Malouff, dan Bhullar (2009) dengan koefisien alfa cronbach 0,843 dan variabel perilaku cybersex diukur dengan Internet Sex Screening Test (ISST) dari Delmonico dan Miller (2003). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan perilaku cybersex pada mahasiswa yang bermain peran (role player) di platform sosial media Twiter dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,127 dengan nilai signifikansi kurang dari 0,05 (p0,05) yaitu 0,031 maka hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diterima.
