PENERAPAN STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN GROUP INVESTIGATION DENGAN BANTUAN MEDIA GAMBAR BERSERI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS TEKS DESKRIPSI SISWA KELAS VII 11 SMP NEGERI 2 SINGARAJA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2017/2018

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) ini memiliki tujuan (1) mendeskripsikan hasil dari penerapan strategi pembelajaran Group Investigation dengan bantuan media gambar berseri dalam pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi siswa kelas VII 11 SMP N 2 Singaraja, (2) mendeskripsikan aktivitas pembelajaran siswa kelas VII 11 SMP N 2 Singaraja dalam menulis teks deskripsi dengan menerapkan strategi pemebelajaran Group Investigation dengan bantuan media gambar berseri. Subjek penelitian yaitu 29 siswa pada kelas VII 11 SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja. Objek penelitian ini adalah penerapan strategi Group Investigation dengan bantuan media gambar berseri pada pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi. Metode yang digunakan, adalah metode tes untuk kemampuan siswa dan metode observasi untuk aktivitas siswa. Dalam menganalisis data digunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif kuantitatif. Hasil dari penerapan strategi dan media menunjukan, (1) hasil pratindakan 56,04 tidak memenuhi KKM. Lalu, dilakukan tindakan I dengan hasil 69,07. Dari hasil itu, kembali dilakukan tindakan II dengan hasil 80,36 dan telah melampaui KKM. (2) Pada aktivitas pembelajaran, diketahui pratindakan siswa kurang aktif. Lalu dilanjutkan tindakan I dan tindakan II dengan hasil siswa aktif bertanya dan menyampaikan kesulitan mereka. Pembelajaran pada tindakan I dengan tema media lingkuan pariwisata Singaraja belum menarik minat siswa. Berdasarkan itu, dilakukan penyesuaian tema yang sesuai dan diminati oleh siswa kelas VII. Jadi, simpulan data di atas adalah, penerapan strategi Group Investigation dengan bantuan media gambar berseri dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa kelas VII 11 SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja.

Classroom Action Research (CAR) had a function such as, 1) to describe the result of group investigation strategy by using series of picture in writing descriptive text on VII 11 class in SMP N 2 Singaraja 2) to describe the students in VII 11 class’s activities in writing descriptive text by using group investigation strategy by using series of picture. The subject of this study was 29 students from VII 11 class in SMP N 2 Singaraja. The object of this study was the application of group investigation strategy by using series of picture in writing descriptive text. This study used the method such as test to know the student’s ability and observation to know the student’s activity. This study used descriptive qualitative quantitative technique to analyze the data. The result showed that 1) the pre-activities’ result was 56, 04 and it was not fulfilled the KKM, then the researcher used 1st treatment with the result 69, 07. From that, the 2nd treatment was done again and the result is 80, 36 and it was already fulfilled KKM, 2) In terms of learning activities, it appeared that the students were lacking in participation during pre-activities, then 1st and 2nd treatment was done and the result showed that the students were participating actively and told their problem. The learning activities in 1st treatment with theme Singaraja’s tourism place was not attracting the student’s interest. Because of that, the adaptability of the material fro 7th grade students needed to be concerned. It concluded that the application of group investigation strategy by using series of picture could improve writing descriptive text for students in VII 11 class of SMP N 2 Singaraja
