Abstract

Previous research shows that the use of technology in education can improve student literacy, but not many studies have explored the potential of virtual tour applications in a literacy context, especially in facilitating students' understanding of more complex and abstract content. The purpose of this research is to create a virtual tour-based eduwisata application that is packaged with virtual reality applications to improve teacher and student literacy. This research method is research and development. The data collection method and data analysis in research uses the ADDIE development design model. Analysis (Interviews and Focus Group Discussions (Focus Group Discussions to collect user needs, namely students and teachers), Design (preparation of questionnaires to get input from users regarding the design and features expected in the application), Development (developing various versions of application features and content for tested by students and teachers), Implementation (Surveys and questionnaires to collect feedback from users), Evaluation (Pre-test and Post-test to measure students' literacy levels before and after using the application). The subjects of this research were randomly assigned 250 teachers and students at SMA/SMK schools in Central Java. The research instrument uses a user response questionnaire, namely teachers and students . The results of the student response questionnaire related to the assessment of the development of virtual tour technology application design, in the media aspect obtained a score of 84.47%, 84.24% material aspects, 84.86% discussion and display aspects. The subjects of this research were randomly assigned 250 teachers and students at SMA/SMK schools in Central Java.
