PERANAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER BERORIENTASI KEARIFAN LOKAL DALAM PENGEMBANGAN KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH
Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan peranan pendidikan karakter berbasis kearifan lokal dalam pengembangan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan di kelas VIII A2 SMPN 6 Singaraja tahun ajaran 2014/1015. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan, yaitu: perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan evaluasi, serta refleksi. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa data kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika, proses peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika melalui pembelajaran dengan penerapan pendidikan karakter berorientasi kearifan lokal Bali, dan sikap siswa terhadap matematika. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika, lembar observasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika berorientasi karakter, dan angket sikap terhadap matematika. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian adalah pada siklus III sebanyak 86% siswa mencapai kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan kriteria minimal baik. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa semakin baik dari siklus ke siklus. Sikap siswa terhadap matematika dengan kategori positif sebanyak 89%.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to describe the role of character education oriented of local wisdom in the development of mathematical problem solving ability. This classroom action research conducted in the class VIII A2 SMPN 6 Singaraja in the academic year 2014/1015. This research carried out in three cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, action, observation and evaluation, and reflection. The data collected, namely: mathematical problem solving ability, the data upgrade process of mathematical problem solving through learning by application- character education oriented of Balinese local wisdom, and attitudes toward mathematics. The instrument to data collection was a test of mathematical problem solving ability, observation sheets of mathematical problem solving ability-character oriented and questionnaire of attitude towards mathematics. The data were analyzed descriptively. The Results of this study is the third cycle as much as 86% of students achieved the problem solving ability with criteria minimum “good”. Students’mathematical problem solving abilities are getting better from cycle to cycle. Students'attitudes toward mathematics with “positive” category as much as 89%.
