This study aims to the results of learning basic techniques of volley ball passing through the implementation of STAD type cooperative learning model in grade VIII students SMP Negeri 1 Kerambitan. The type of research used in this study is a true experiment (true experimental). The population of this study is all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kerambitan with the number of 4 classes with the total number of students as many as 96 people. While the sample is 48 people 24 class VIIIA as an experimental group and 24 class VIIIJ as a control group. Based on the result of learning volleyball (bottom passing) experiment group and control group with the amount of each 24 people obtained the average gain score normalization obtained in each group is in the experimental group of 0.240 while the control group of 0.170. Normality and homogeneity test results are normal and homogeneous. Independent test t-test results obtained significance 0.000 (<0.05). Thus it can be concluded that STAD type cooperative learning model has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of basic technique of passing under volley ball on the students. And it is suggested that STAD type cooperative learning model can be one alternative that can be applied in the classroom.
