PENERAPAN METODE BERMAIN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PERKEMBANGAN KOGNITIF ANAK KELOMPOK A TK KUNCUP HARAPAN SINGARAJA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan perkembangan kognitif dalam kemampuan pengenalan lambang bilangan setelah diterapkan metode bermain pada anak kelompok A semester II di TK Kuncup Harapan Singaraja kabupaten Buleleng tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 15 orang anak terdiri dari 8 anak perempuan dan 7 anak laki-laki. Data penelitian tentang perkembangan kognitif dalam kemampuan pengenalan lambang bilangan dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi dengan instrumen berupa lembar observasi. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan perkembangan kognitif dalam kemampuan pengenalan lambang bilangan dengan penerapan metode bermain pada siklus I sebesar 65% yang berada pada kategori sedang ternyata mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 85,8% yang tergolong pada kategori tinggi. Jadi, terdapat peningkatan perkembangan kognitif dalam kemampuan pengenalan lambang bilangan pada anak setelah diterapkan metode bermain sebesar 20,8%.Kata Kunci : metode bermain, perkembangan kognitif, anak usia dini
This study aimed at investigating cognitive development of the ability in recognizing numbers after the application of Play-way Method in second semester students of group A in TK Kuncup Harapan Singaraja, Buleleng, in the academic year of 2015/2016. The present study is a classroom action based research which was conducted in two cycles. The subject were fifteen students consisted of eight females and seven males. The data of the study about the cognitive development of the ability in recognizing numbers were collected by using observation with observational note as the instrument. The result of the data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis method. The result of data analysis showed that there was 65% improvement of cognitive development of the ability in recognizing numbers after the application of Play-way Method in the first cycle that was categorized as mediocre. Then, it improved further in second cycle to be 85.8% that was categorized as high. In conclusion, there was 20,8% improvement of cognitive development of the students’ ability in recognizing numbers after the application of Play-way Method.
