Pengaruh Metode Membaca Dasar Bermediakan Big Book Terhadap Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan Anak Kelompok A*

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode membaca dasar bermediakan big book terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan anak kelompok A Taman Kanak-Kanak Gugus I Kecamatan Banjar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen, dengan desain penelitian post-only control group design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok A TK Negeri Desa Banjar sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang bejumlah 20 anak dan TK Negeri Banjar Tegehe berjumlah 13 anak yang diambil dengan teknik cluster sampling. Data hasil kemampuan membaca permulaan anak dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrument observasi. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan uji normalitas, homogenitas, menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan anak yang dibelajarkan dengan metode membaca dasar bermediakan big book. Pengaruh tersebut dilihat dari skor hasil kemampuan membaca permulaan anak diperoleh hasil thitung sebesar 16, 08, sedangkan ttabel 2, 03. Hasil perhitungan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (16, 08> 2, 03.). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disarankan metode membaca dasar bermediakan big book dapat digunakan untuk memecahkan masalah dalam mengembangkan kemampuan membaca permulaan anak.Kata Kunci : membaca permulaan, metode membaca dasar, big book
*This study aimed to know the effect of basic reading method by using big book media toward children basic reading skill of group A Kindergarten Gugus I Kecamatan Banjar. This study was quasi-experiment with post-only control group design. The sample of this study was 20 children of group A of Kindergarten Negeri Desa Banjar as the experiment group and 13 children of Kindergarten Negeri Banjar Tegehe. The sample taken by using cluster sampling. Observation sheet was used to collect the data. Based on normality test, homogeneity, it was found that there was significant effect of basic reading method by using big book media toward children basic reading skill. It can be seen from thitung (16,08) is higher than ttabel (2,03). Based on the result, it can be suggested that basic reading skill by using big book media can be used as a solution to solve the problem of children especially in reading in order to improve their basic reading skill.*
